Fundraiser to feature fine wines and food

McDonald Lions Club will sponsor a wine-tasting event from 7 to 10 p.m. April 15 at Leo’s Ristorante, 7042 E. Market St.

The public is invited to attend the fundraiser and sample a wide selection of excellent red and white wines that will be available throughout the evening, along with a variety of pastas, fruits, cheeses, breads, and both hot and cold hors d’ oeuvres prepared by chef Leo DelGarbino.

There will be three wine stations, where local experts will pour the various wine selections and provide information about selecting and enjoying wines.

The fundraiser is open to anyone 21 years of age or older. Tickets are $50 per person, and a portion of the proceeds will assist the Lions in providing youth scholarships, eye care assistance and other worthwhile community services.
