Students interact with business community

Austintown Fitch freshman, sophomores and juniors Interact Club members shadowed members of the professional community Mar. 22.
The students were able to chose a career interest and spend part of the day with a professional in that field.
Alina Kieblasa worked with Atty. Robert Steiskal; Megan Tirabassi taught with Lynn Kirk teacher Mrs. Wallace; Jason Miller followed Dr. James Shina; Christine Holmes went to WKBN to spend time with a TV reporter; Alex Sofranko shadowed optometrist Tom Grischow; Mandy Schneider and Sammi Devenport worked with veterinarian Dan Bestic; Noor Ramahi visited physician Catherine Karlock; Nikki Baird paired with Atty. Lou Schiavoni; and Olivia Miller went with Atty. Shawn Sharf.
The event is held each spring to increase awareness of career realities and to create relationships among professionals in that field.
This year’s event was planned by Gary Reel and Rachel Solida and included a lunch at the Saxon Club with the Rotary Club.
