Warren police await results of man’s autopsy

WARREN — Police are awaiting the results of an autopsy before determining whether a 44-year-old city man died of natural causes after being found unconscious early Sunday outside of the Sons of Italy club on Harrison Street Northeast.

Police said the man, Jonathan Johnston of Washington Street Northeast, came into the tavern, at around 1:30 a.m. with a woman and appeared to be intoxicated.

He stumbled into a decorated tree in the tavern and went into the bathroom, then left the bar with the woman, police said.

A little while later, he was found lying on the ground outside the tavern. He was taken to Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
