CANFIELD

Sept. 22

Drug abuse: Police arrested a Louisville, Ohio, woman on charges of drug abuse on East Main Street after finding 3.5 grams of marijuana on her.

Sept. 24

Theft: The manager at Radio Shack, 429 E. Main St., reported a cell phone, scissors and yellow and blue pliers were stolen. Arrested on charges of theft were a Warren man and a Warren woman and charged with being a delinquent child by way of complicity to theft were a 16-year-old male and 16-year-old female, also from Warren.

AUSTINTOWN

Sept. 21

Theft: Police arrested a man for stealing beer at Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.

Assault: A man is accused of punching a woman outside apartments in the 900 block of Compass West Apartments.

Theft: A theft was reported at Kmart, 4795 Mahoning Ave. A man was arrested for stealing a cell phone and a radio satellite from his wife, a store employee.

Theft: A GPS was stolen and the dashboard was damaged on a vehicle at a home in the 3000 block of Rebecca Drive.

Burglary: Money and prescriptions were stolen from an apartment in the 1000 block of South Raccoon Road.

Fraud: A bank card was used by an unauthorized user at a home in the 4000 block of Norquest Boulevard.

Theft: A man was issued a summons for theft of a pouch of tobacco at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Telecommunications harassment: Unwanted calls were reported at a home in the 2000 block of Woodgate Street.

Sept. 22

Telecommunications harassment: E-mails making derogatory statements about an out-of-state dealership were being sent by an unknown sender at Bob and Chuck Eddy’s, 4850 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A go-cart was stolen in the 300 block Ohltown Road.

Theft: A .45-caliber, military-issue handgun was stolen from a home in the 5000 block of Norquest Boulevard.

Burglary: Medication was taken from a home in the 1000 block of North Main Street.

Sept. 23

Recovered property: A 2002 Chevrolet Impala stolen from the Austintown Plaza, 6000 Mahoning Ave., was recovered through Youngstown police.

Theft: Checks were stolen from a home in the 200 block of North Edgehill Avenue.

Theft: A woman’s purse was stolen at ITT, 1030 N. Meridian Road.

Theft: A .22-cal. handgun was stolen at Austintown Sports, 5466 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A woman was arrested for theft and trespassing at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Telecommunications harassment: At a home in the 4000 block of Wedgewood Drive.

Drug offense: A Lisbon woman was charged with drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia, and released on a summons at Mahoning and Kimberly Avenues.

Theft: A man was arrested on a charge of theft and a second man was charged with complicity at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Sept. 24

Theft: A man was arrested for theft of a 24-ounce can of beer at Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Fraud: A woman from the 4000 block of Burkey Road reported to police that a woman has used her name and driver’s license number in Kentucky to cash checks at Sears and two other locations.

Misuse of credit card: A child of the homeowner took a debit card and used it at a home in the 4000 block of Lanterman Road.

Fraud: $200 was withdrawn from an account at Home Savings and Loan, 4259 Kirk Road. The victim reported he and his wife, who recently divorced, had both names on the account.

Theft: $32.02 in gasoline was stolen at Country Fair, 1143 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: Ten, five-gallon containers of mineral spirits valued at $58.66 were stolen from Sherwin Williams, 5880 Mahoning Ave.

Menacing: An employee was threatened at the Salvation Army, 5474 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A PreMax computer was dropped off for repair in September and not available to be picked up at Bit, Bytes and Pieces, 5462 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A CD player was stolen from an auto at a home in the 4000 block of Rhode Island Drive.

Recovered property: A wallet and its contents were found in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Theft: Children’s clothes were shoplifted at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Hats were stolen at Kmart.

Sept. 25

Drug offense: Drug paraphernalia was found in an apartment in the 3000 block of Wilcox Road.

Theft: Cash and an I-pod were stolen from an auto in Westin Center, 5533 Mahoning Ave.

Identity theft: The victim, a resident of the 100 block of North Roanoke Ave., had his Social Security number used and taxes are owed.

Theft: A man is suspected of stealing items from an auto at Mr. Rooter, 5411 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: $22.72 in fuel was stolen at UniMart, 5502 Mahoning Ave.

Fraud: An unauthorized withdrawal was made from a checking account at Game Crazy, 5225 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A Garmin and digital camera were stolen from an auto in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Theft: A woman’s purse was taken from an auto at Austintown Fitch High School, 4560 Falcon Drive.

Attempted theft: A passenger window was broken on a vehicle at Quaker Steak and Lube, 5800 Interstate Boulevard.

Disorderly conduct: A man was released on a summons on a charge of disorderly conduct at Mahoning Avenue and state Route 46.

Theft: Miscellaneous items were taken from an auto at a home in the 4000 block of Rhode Island Drive.

Sept. 26

Drug offense: A Canfield man was arrested on a drug offense at Cosmo’s, 1722 S. Raccoon Road.

Burglary: An attached garage was entered and a DeWalt impact gun stolen at a home in the 2000 block of North Idlewood Avenue.

Counterfeit currency: A counterfeit $50 bill was almost passed at Countryside Drive-Thru, 888 N. Meridian Road.

Fraud: An woman had a debit card taken after she left her purse at Popeye’s, 6075 Mahoning Ave. Thieves charged $282.30 at Boardman Wal-Mart and $52 and $19.50 at Circle-K.

Theft: A computer was taken at Bits, Bytes and Pieces, 5462 Mahoning Ave.

Criminal damaging: Car tires were slashed at Ball Busters, 3661 Mahoning Ave.

Sept. 27

Weapons offense: A man was arrested on a weapons offense at Mahoning Avenue and Javit Court. He was charged with improper handling of a firearm after police found a loaded .357 handgun in his glove box.

Theft: Two women were caught stealing at Kmart.

Theft: Gasoline was stolen at Uni-Mart, 5502 Mahoning Ave.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle window was smashed out in the parking lot at apartments in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Court.

Drug offense: A 16-year-old female from Austintown will go to the Juvenile Justice Center after police found various pieces of drug paraphernalia in her possession in the 300 block of Rosemont Drive.
