SENIOR CITIZENS

1418 Auxiliary Seniors

• A meeting of the 1418 Auxiliary Seniors will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Byzantine Center, 3801 Shady Run Road. Cancellations are required by Monday with Kay Shabella at (330) 755-0459. Birthdays and anniversaries will be acknowledged and cards and bingo will be the diversion. Illnesses or deaths should be reported to Ann Banyots, (330) 783-2019. ERIE RAILROAD

• Erie Mahoning Valley Railroad Association will meet at noon Tuesday at Belleria Pizzeria, 3460 S. Meridian Road, Cornersburg. Reports will be given, and birthdays will be recognized. All railroad retirees and their spouses are welcome.

GIRARD

• Girard Senior Citizens Club will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the center, 16 N. State St. Following the business meeting, bingo will be played.

LOWELLVILLE

• Lowellville Senior Citizens will meet at noon Friday at the conference room in city hall with Delores Romeo presiding. A stuffed cabbage and mashed potato lunch will be provided by Phyllis Nolfi. October birthdays and anniversaries will be acknowledged. Nonperishable items will be collected for the shut-in basket. Illnesses or deaths should be reported to Mary Mascarella at (330) 536-8748. Bingo will be played. For reservations call Janet Davanzo at (330) 793-3176. There will be no November meeting.

MARTHA LUPSE

• Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played when Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club meets from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Lurana Cowher will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided. No affiliation with the church is required for participation. RETIRED NURSES

• A meeting of the Retired Nurses will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4560 Canfield Road. Saeeda Ghani will speak on a “Trip to Mecca.” Refreshments will be served.

ST. CHRISTINE’S

• St. Christine Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the parish center. Ruth Infante will preside. Reports will be given by Mary Jo Theis and Carol McClain. Luncheon hostesses will be Clara Sefner, June Kausitis, Chris Bartholomy and Virginia Bestic. There will be attendance prizes, a 50-50 raffle and cards and bingo.

S.O.A.R. 27-16

• Oliver Montgomery Chapter 27-16, S.O.A.R., will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McGuffey Centre, 1649 Jacobs Road. Meetings take place the last Wednesday of each month.
