Scrappers seek companies to aid trick-or-treat benefit for Luke Holko

NILES — The Mahoning Valley Scrappers baseball team is looking for area businesses to participate in this year’s trick-or-treat event 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 21 at Eastwood Field.

Companies that participate will receive a free table-space on the team’s concourse. They may distribute information and decorate their table as they choose.

In addition, the team asks that each company provide candy for an estimated 1,500 children. Contact Billy Richards at the Scrappers office by Oct. 17 if interested. Space is limited and is available to the first 30 companies that reply.

For further information, contact the Scrappers team office at (330) 505-0000.

Tickets for the Oct. 21 event go on sale Oct. 5 for $1 at the Scrappers’ ticket office. The event is limited to the first 1,500 children 12 and under. Parents don’t need tickets to attend.

The proceeds will be donated to the Luke Holko Fund. Luke is the 4-year-old Trumbull County boy struck in the head by a foul ball at a Scrappers game late this summer.
