Historical homes tour scheduled for Kinsman

KINSMAN — Kinsman Historical Society will sponsor a Harvest of Homes tour from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 10, featuring seven homes and other attractions and a Farmer’s Market on the Square from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The donation is $10.

Start at the Presbyterian Church, 6383 Church St., 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church. Apple butter to be sold; volunteers are needed

EAST PALESTINE— The East Palestine Historical Society will be making and selling apple butter again this fall, and members will meet from 8-9 a.m. Oct. 8 at the brick pavilion in the city park to peel the apples. Volunteers are needed to help. Proceeds are used to keep the historical society’s Log Cabin Museum open and operating. Cancer fundraiser planned

EAST LIVERPOOL — The East Liverpool Cancer Support Group’s Cancer Extravaganza is set for Oct. 8. Doors will open at 5 p.m., and dinner will be at 6 p.m. The donation is $20. Craig Brown, county recorder, will be master of ceremonies.

The event, sponsored by Tri State Cancer Center, will include 10 prizes of Fiesta Ware, each in excess of $100 in value; 50 raffle baskets, and two 50-50 drawings. For reservations, call (330) 386-7377.

Golf scramble will help boy hurt by baseball

KINSMAN — A golf scramble benefit will take place Oct. 10 at Bronzewood Golf Course to benefit Luke Holko, a 4-year-old who was critically injured by a foul ball Sept. 2 at a Scrappers baseball game. All proceeds will go to benefit Luke’s care and recovery.

The $65-per golfer fee includes 18 holes of golf with cart for a 4-person team, food, beer, pop, a 50-50 raffle, silent auction, and skill prizes.

CMHS Alumni plan reunion, tailgate party

CAMPBELL — Campbell Memorial High School Alumni Association will have a homecoming football game reunion and tailgate party from 5 to 11 p.m. Oct. 9 at the Sanderson Avenue parking lot, across from the high school.

Alumni are asked to take food and refreshments to the reunion. An alumni tent and food court will be set up in the parking lot.

The alumni committee will be selling official CMHS sportswear and distributing information about the association, which has awarded more than $20,000 in scholarships to CMHS graduates during the past three years.
