Wolves Club conducts installation of officers


YOUNGSTOWN — Atty. James Vivo, a practicing attorney and a member of many community organizations, was installed as president of the Wolves Club Den VI of Youngstown during a recent meeting.

Inducted as his associate officers were Chelsey Santucci, president-elect; Dr. Frank Tarantine, treasurer; Dr, Peter Chila, secretary; Gino Rondinelli and Mark Taylor, members of the board of directors; and Joseph Meranto, scholarship committee.

The club raised more than $25,000 during the past year. The funds are earmarked primarily for its scholarship programs at Youngstown State University and St. Elizabeth Health Center School of Nursing. Scholarship donations for the 2009-2010 academic year total $40,000 for YSU and $5,000 for St. E’s. Since receiving its charter in 1953, the den has contributed more than $650,00 for scholarships and various community projects.

Den VI will co-host the 60th anniversary convention of National Association of Wolves convention in 2010 in Youngstown.
