Mineral Ridge, East Palestine romp
LISBON — Kyle Skiba ran 10 times for 70 yards and two touchdowns Friday as the Mineral Ridge High football team defeated Lisbon 48-0.
Dan Skiba added a 50-yard TD run as Mineral Ridge (3-2, 2-0 Inter Tri-County League Tier One) carried a 21-0 lead into the fourth quarter before breaking the game open.
Mike Keleman added 69 yards on seven carries with a touchdown, a 23-yard fumble return for a touchdown. He also made 6 of 6 extra points. One of the Rams’ reserves missed the final try.
Evan Hall had a 36-yard fumble return for a touchdown and Casey Porter had a 5-yard touchdown run to complete the scoring.
For Lisbon (0-5, 0-2), Todd Padurean was 10 of 15 for 131 yards and an interception.
East Palestine 47, United 20
EAST PALESTINE — East Palestine (5-0, 2-0 ITCL1) ran for 421 yards against United (1-4, 0-2).
East Palestine’s Shane Petersoncontributed 414 yards total offense to lead the Bulldogs.
United’s Josh McLaughlin threw for 346 yards.
Leetonia 34, Sebring 13
LEETONIA — A.J. Bailey rushed 22 times for 142 yards and scored three touchdowns to lead the Bears (4-1, 2-0 ITCL2). His touchdowns covered 8, 15 and 1 yards.
Lance Tullis completed 11 of 19 passes for 152 yards.
For the Trojans (1-4, 0-2), Corey Baia completed 17 of 30 passes for 191 yards. Seamus Johnson caught eight of them for 123 yards.
