A summary of recent criminal activity in Hubbard, Liberty and Girard:

HUBBARD

Sept. 17

Assault: A woman reported her 10-year-old son was assaulted at Reed Middle School, 150 Hall Ave.

Sept. 18

Vandalism: A vehicle was vandalized at Hubbard High School, 350 Hall Ave.

Menacing: A Rebecca Avenue woman told police a man kept harassing her children.

Sept. 19

Theft: A man reported money stolen from his Meadowland Court residence.

Breaking and entering: A warrant was issued against a township man charging him.

Drugs: Officers got a report of a suicidal female near Scott Street and said they found drug-related items in her possession.

Sept. 20

Theft: A scarecrow lawn decoration was removed from a yard in the 300 block of Rebecca Avenue.

Sept. 21

Theft: Someone stole a plastic wishing well from a front yard in the 300 block of Westview Avenue.

Theft: A silver globe ornament was removed from a flower bed in the 200 block of Parish Avenue.

LIBERTY

Sept. 18

Theft: An Oriel-Rogers Road man reported a total of $660 stolen from two wallets he had in his car.

Criminal trespassing: A 20-year-old Girard man was issued a summons charging him after police responded to possible narcotics use at a Belmont Avenue store. The man’s former girlfriend works at the business, at which he was not permitted on the property, a report said.

Drugs: Officers pulled over a vehicle near Colonial Drive, where they took into custody a 25-year-old Youngstown man wanted by Mahoning County authorities on a felony count of trafficking in drugs.

Drugs: A Youngstown man, 41, police had stopped on Belmont Avenue faced a charge of possession of crack cocaine. Two rocks of suspected crack were found, they said.

Theft: Two women stole roughly $500 worth of frozen foods from Aldi food store, 3497 Belmont Ave., then fled in a red Ford pickup truck.

Theft: A North Gate Road woman discovered someone obtained and cashed her debit card.

Theft: A charge was pending against a Vienna woman, 27, after a bottle of styling mousse was stolen from Wal-Mart, 200 Goldie Road.

Sept. 19

Criminal damaging: A vehicle’s passenger-side mirror was damaged in the 400 block of Monticello Boulevard.

Theft: The rear license plate was stolen off a pickup truck in the 100 block of Laurel Street.

Aggravated menacing: A Marla Lane woman alleged her former boyfriend had threatened to shoot her as well as her boyfriend and two children. The youngsters said they saw the man in a wooded area with a gun flee in a vehicle, a report said.

Criminal damaging: A juvenile threw a rock and damaged a car’s windshield near Belmont Avenue.

Sept. 20

Theft: A 16-year-old Youngstown boy was held after being accused of stealing a charger for a car adapter, a 36-pack of condoms and a plastic mouth guard from Wal-Mart. He was released to the custody of his mother.

Criminal damaging: Someone in the 200 block of Colonial Drive used a tool to try to pry open a vehicle’s passenger-side door.

Counterfeit: A phony $100 bill was used to pay for food at Uptown Pizza Shop, 2940 Belmont Ave.

Sept. 21

Weapon: A traffic stop in the 2900 block of Belmont Avenue led to a 57-year-old Youngstown man’s being charged with carrying a concealed weapon, being a convicted felon with a firearm and driving under suspension when, police said, a handgun was discovered.

Domestic violence: An 18-year-old township man was charged, accused of striking his mother in the head during an argument, as well as pushing and punching his sister.

Theft: Wal-Mart personnel detained a Youngstown woman, 18, accused of stealing two packs of T-shirts and a pack of men’s socks.

GIRARD

Sept. 18

Bad check: An East Liberty Street man reported receiving a $6,429 check for services he performed, then learning the check was returned for nonsufficient funds.

Sept. 20

Criminal mischief: A child stole a pumpkin from a porch to a South Randolph Street residence, then returned the damaged pumpkin.

Sept. 21

Theft: An Ohio Avenue woman discovered three pieces of jewelry and two collectible lighters missing from her bedroom. The loss came to $750.

Menacing: A Second Street woman told authorities a man made unwanted calls as part of a pattern of harassment.

Assault: A Wilson Avenue boy and his father reported another boy had punched the accuser in the face. The other boy told police the accuser had struck him.

Auto theft: A 2001 Cadillac with Florida license plates was stolen in the 600 block of St. Clair Avenue.

Unauthorized use of a vehicle: A Trumbull Avenue man said another male borrowed but failed to return a friend’s car.

Menacing: An Elruth Court woman said a man made a threatening call to her.
