Fire officials investigating another arson fire in New Castle


NEW CASTLE, Pa. — A fire at a vacant house on the west side of the city was arson, the city fire department reports.

The fire at 226 Wick Ave. at 10 p.m. Wednesday destroyed the house, the department reported.

The department said a gas can was found there. There were no injuries.

New Castle has had about 40 arsons in the city over the past 19 months on the east side.
