Historical Society to present ‘Polarities’

GROVE CITY, Pa. — The Mercer County Historical Society will present “Polarities: Honor and Dishonor in the Arctic,” which commemorates the centennial year of Admiral Peary’s attainment of the North Pole (April 6, 1909), and the role of Dr. John Goodsell, a Sandy Lake physician, in the voyage.
The play was commissioned by MCHS and written by Cliff Brown of Grove City. Admission is free.
The play will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the Little Theater of the Pew Fine Arts Center on Grove City College Campus.
Reservations are not required but are recommended. Reserved tickets can be obtained by calling (724) 458-3331 or by e-mailing theatertickets@gcc.edu. All ticket holders must be seated by 7:15 p.m. After that time, all empty seats will be given away.
