COMMERCIAL INTERTECH

• Commercial Intertech Retirees will meet at noon Tuesday at St. Mark’s Fellowship Hall. Lou Pizzuto will preside. Reports will be given by Gloria Wielbruda and Roberta Shick. Lunch will be served. The hostesses are Dorothy Pizzuto and Connie DiPiero. All retirees are welcome. Illnesses should be reported to DiPiero at (330) 788-2340.

HOLY NAME

• Holy Name Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. Sept. 27 at Founders Hall for lunch, cards and bingo. Wilma Kutlick will preside, and Ginnie Miller, Marge Bada and Vickie Long will give reports. September birthdays will be observed, and there will be drawings. Nancy Raymer, Rose Dolecki, Josephine Borsick and Peg Moherman are hostesses.

LIBERTY FRIENDS

• The Liberty Friends will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church on Route 304. Take a sack lunch; coffee will be provided. All are welcome for fellowship, cards and games.

MARTHA LUPSE

• Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played when Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club meets from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Mary Murar will give the devotions, and there will be a pizza party. No affiliation with the church is required for participation. For information, call (330) 757-1980.

PARK VISTA BREAKFAST CLUB

• Park Vista’s Breakfast Club will present “Remembering Youngstown: Tales from the Mahoning Valley” at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 8 in the Park Vista Gathering Room, 1216 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. Mark Peyko, publisher of Metro Monthly, will speak about the importance of our local history and how he developed the book “Remembering Youngstown” for the History Press in Salem, Mass.

P.E.R.I. 18

• Public Employees, Mahoning Chapter 18, will meet at noon Oct. 6 at the ITAM on Meridian Road. Deborah Hetrick, community educator for the Visiting Nurses Association, will be the speaker. The cost is $7 for the buffet luncheon of stuffed chicken breast with broccoli and cheese, scalloped potatoes, carrots, salad, rolls, coffee, tea, and pumpkin pie. PACKARD ELECTRIC, DELPHI PACKARD

• Retirees of Packard Electric and Delphi Packard Local 717 will meet at 10:30 a.m Wednesday at the Local 717 Union Hall in Warren Commerce Park, 2750 Sferra Ave. Members are asked to take a labeled covered dish and table service. Mike Rubicz of the Alliance for Senior Actions of Northeast Ohio will speak on several topics relating to seniors and retirees. Those planning to go on the trip to Pittsburgh are asked to pay their money in full at this meeting.

REAC 3298

•Reac 3298 will meet at 11 a.m. Monday at the aerie on Raccoon Road. Melva Day will preside. After the business meeting, luncheon will be served. Hosts are Ethel and Steve DeOreo. There will be a 50-50 raffle. New members are welcome.

• The retirees of Local 2243 U.S.W.A. Copperweld Steel will have their monthly meeting at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Local 1375 Union Hall, 684 N. Park Ave., Warren. The guest speaker will be John Hickey, Champion township fire chief.

STS. PETER AND PAUL

• Sts. Peter and Paul Seniors will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Ukrainian Center. Ann Smith will preside, and Pat Hoffman will give a report. Lunch will be served by June Kausits, Clara Seffner and Josephine Appugliese. Members should take their $11 payment for the Christmas party.
