CANFIELD — Holborn Herb Growers Guild will sponsor its annual tea from 2-4 p.m. Sept. 27 at Western Reserve Village, Canfield Fairgrounds, on Route 46.

The afternoon tea party will take visitors back in time as they enjoy a sampling of herbal teas and delicacies. They can stroll the grounds and visit the historic buildings. Guests are invited to wear hats and gloves.

The guild is encouraging mothers and grandmothers to take their grandchildren to this annual event. If a child has a favorite doll or stuffed friend, they are invited to take them. They might enjoy a story read by a guild member or play a game of Old Maid.

Tea and cookies will be served. A teacup and saucer memento will be provided with the purchase of each ticket. The cost is $8 per adult and $4 per child under 10. Advance tickets are available by calling Virginia Bartos at (330) 750-9862.

Terry Ham and Diane Playforth are the chairmen of this event.

The guild members maintain the public herb gardens in Boardman Township Park and Western Reserve Village.

The guild is marking its 27th anniversary this year, has 50 members and welcomes guests to attend meetings, which are the third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Colonial Inn at the fairgrounds.
