Demonstration to prevent postal office closures moved to next Friday

YOUNGSTOWN — The informational picketing to prevent U.S. Post Office closures on the East and South sides had been rescheduled to 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 25.

The picketing had been set for today, but was changed to change the event from informational picketing to a rally, said organizer Ellis Williams in an e-mail. The organizing committee must obtain the proper permits and insurance to conduct the rally, Williams added.
