“Community Connection” (6:30 a.m., WFMJ Channel 21; rebroadcast on the Time Warner Cable community access channel at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday): The Mahoning Valley Cancer Coalition will have a workshop to mark Women’s Health Month titled “Health Prevention Saves Lives.” Dr. Earnest Perry and Mary Halfacre will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the event and the goals and objectives of the MVCC.

Next, James Hightower and Beverly Fortune from the Youngstown branch of the NAACP will discuss their 100-year celebration dinner, “100 Years of Bold Dreams and Big Victories,” to take place Oct. 9.

James Walker and Dr. Kellie Kirtsey will discuss the new Eastern Gateway Community College, which was just launched in the Valley. They will discuss a new House bill to require a centralized location for the college that will benefit students.
