St. Michael dedication Saturday morning

CANFIELD ­— St. Michael Church, 281 Glenview Road, will dedicate its new Family Life Center on Saturday.

The dedication will begin with Mass in the church celebrated by Bishop George V. Murry at 4:30 p.m. After the Mass, the congregation will go across the parking lot into the new center. The bishop will bless and dedicate the new building.

The congregation will move to the parking lot in front of the center to witness the cross being mounted on the roof. The cross will be mounted by Jesse Salomone, parishioner and general contractor, and 12-year-old Peter Crescimanno, a parishioner whose idea it was to put up the cross. After the dedication, the parish will have its annual picnic.
