Seven new citizens sworn in

YOUNGSTOWN —— The following became U.S. citizens in a Thursday naturalization ceremony before Judge Lou A. D’Apolito of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court. Their names, hometowns and countries of origin are: Sakunthala Balakrishnan, Austintown, Canada; Naser Yousef Alwanni, Poland, Palestine; Imad Mohamad ElSayed, Austintown, Lebanon; Ion Badescu, Youngstown, Romania; Hyon Suk Pak, Youngstown, Korea; Vidya Jagadish Counto, Canfield, India; and Julian Heinrich, Youngstown, Romania.
