• Warren Women’s Connection plans “Let’s Have a Tea Party,” and invites the public to attend a luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 12 at DiLucia’s Banquet Room, 2610 Elm Road NE, Warren. • Youngstown Women’s Connection invites the public to a luncheon, “Country Fair,” from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. At Lucianno’s Banquet Room, 1739 D. Raccoon Road, Austintown (in Wedgewood Plaza). LIBRARY FRIENDS
• Friends of the Austintown Library will meet at 10 a.m. Monday in the Community Room of the Austintown Library. The first meeting after summer break will feature Master Gardeners Stanley and Linda Vuletich, who will share their love of growing dahlias. This couple volunteers at Mill Creek Park’s Fellows Riverside Gardens and have taught classes there. They have judged dahlia shows in Ohio and have participated in the National dahlias show at Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania. The Vuletiches are members of the Mahoning Valley Dahlia Society, East Liverpool Dahlia Society, the Dahlia Society of Ohio and the Pittsburgh Dahlia Society. The presentation will encourage others to begin growing dahlias. The meeting is open to the public.

• Court Bishop James McFadden 1650, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, will have its regular meeting on the fourth Thursday, Sept. 24, at 1:30 p.m at Sunrise Assisted Living, 335 McKinley Way West, Poland.
