OBAMA UPDATE 11: Workers say Obama is ‘down-to-earth’
LORDSTOWN — A dozen General Motors workers who met privately with President Barack Obama said they found him supportive of their work, and the auto industry.
“The message was to hang in there, It’s getting better,” said Michael Lisbon, 51, of Campbell, who has been at the Lordstown plant 32 years.
Workers said they were surprised how personable the president was. “He was so down-to-earth,” said Tiffany King, 34, of Salem.
