YOUNGSTOWN — Batrina Boykin and Daryl Tomez, both of 209 Outlook Ave., announce their engagement and October wedding.

New Bethel Baptist Church will be the setting for the couple’s 3 p.m. open wedding on Oct. 3. A reception for invited guests will take place later that evening at St. Mary’s Assumption Social hall.

The bride-elect, daughter of Geraldine Boykin, 118 Halleck Ave., attends Youngstown State University for a degree as a clinical lab technician. She is employed as a resident assistant at Humility House.

Mr. Tomez, son of the late Grace and Pedro Tomez, is employed at St. Elizabeth Health Center/Crothall Health Care services in warehouse logistics and as a dispatcher for support services.
