Man jailed after violent Pa. body shop robbery


PARKER, Pa. (AP) — A man is jailed on charges that he fired a shotgun near a clerk when he robbed a body shop in rural western Pennsylvania.

State police say 40-year-old Jeffrey Kline, of Brookville, robbed the Interstate Body Shop on Route 38 in Allegheny Township, Butler County.

Police say Kline grabbed cash from the register and ran away after the robbery about 3 a.m. Sunday. Police say they were able to identify Kline as the suspect and arrested him at home without incident.

Kline is in the Butler County Jail on robbery, theft, aggravated assault and other charges. He has pleaded not guilty.
