GARDEN CLUBS | This week's meetings announced

TUESDAY

• East Garden club will meet at 11:30 at Frankie’s Restaurant in Hubbard. Hostesses will be Kay Cvengros.

• Trailwood will have a guest day meeting at 11 a.m. Members will carpool to a luncheon and demonstration by Chef Clair. Hostess is Peg Shirey.

WEDNESDAY

• Garden Forum will have the Garden Club of Ohio Youngstown District fall meeting at the Davis Center in Fellows Riverside Gardens. The cost for the catered lunch is $18. The schedule is: presidents meeting at 9:30 a.m.; registration at 10, business meeting at 10:30; talk by Dr. Eric Matthews at 11, and by Mary Ann Silvestri at 1 p.m. The host group is Austintown Garden Club. THURSDAY

• Coitsville will meet at 1:30 p.m. at Wagon Trails Animal Park.

• Johnny Appleseed will meet at 7:30 p.m. for a program on “Seed to Finished Project” by Alice Lang. Hostess will be Pat Kubiac and cohostess will be Leah Glaeser. The door prize will be by Sonia Tsvetkoff.

SATURDAY

• Sunflower will meet for a program on planting and starting bulbs and tubers. The hostess will be Joyce Campbell.

UPCOMING

• Garden Forum will have a president and program meeting at 10 a.m. Sept. 25 at Fellows Riverside Gardens. Members are asked to take finger foods to share. Reservations are to be made by Friday by calling (330) 7407116, ext. 210.

• Garden club events are published Sunday. The deadline is noon Thursday.
