Luncheon marks anniversary of Thomas wedding

GIRARD — Mr. and Mrs. Jim Thomas of Girard were honored by their family and intimate friends as they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary during a luncheon at 2 p.m. Sept. 5 at Avalon Country Club at Sharon in Hermitage, Pa.

Hosts for the festivities were their children and their spouses, Karen Thomas of Minneola, Fla., and Nancy and Mark Standohar of Girard, and their grandchildren, Caroline, Evan and Mark Standohar.

First United Methodist Church of Girard, where they are members, was the setting on Sept. 5, 1959, as the former Susan Carnahan and Mr. Thomas were united in marriage.

Mrs. Thomas was employed in the office of General Fireproofing in Youngstown, and in the office of City Loan and Savings of Girard and Lima. She is a homemaker.

Mr. Thomas is a self-employed attorney with the James W. Thomas Co., LPA, in Girard.
