Family dinner honors Karabins on anniversary

GIRARD — The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. George Karabin, 546 Forsythe St., was celebrated during a family dinner on Sept. 12 at Alberini’s Restaurant in Niles.

The former Matilda Fata and Mr. Karabin were married Sept., 12, 1959, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Youngstown. They are members of St. Rose Church.

Their family includes George and Tracy Karabin of Niles, Cindy and Bryan Mayer of Columbus, John Karabin of Warren, and Karey and John Finney of Port Charlotte, Fla. The couple have eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Karabin retired in 1998 from Trumbull Savings and Loan, where she was head teller.

Mr. Karabin was a dirver for Tri County Beverage in Youngstown, prior to retiring in 1994.
