St. Anthony Auxiliary will meet on Monday

STRUTHERS — St. Anthony Auxiliary of Struthers will meet at noon Monday at the hall for its monthly meeting. Lunch will be served, and telephone girls will contact members for reservations: Eileen Clemente, Theresa Gabriele and Rosemary Muccillo. Arlene DeChellis will conduct the business meeting after lunch.

Cemetery association installs president

BOARDMAN — Patsy J. Gray, superintendent and trustee of Lake Park Cemetery Association, 1459 E. Midlothian Blvd., was installed as president of the Ohio Association of Cemetery Superintendents and Officials on Aug. 4 during an annual meeting in West Chester.

A past president of the Kiwanis Club of Uptown Youngstown and member of the Cremation Association of America, Gray has served on the executive committee of the OACS&O for six years.

Animal adoption set

BOARDMAN — Animal Appeal of Sharpsville, Pa., a pet adoption and rescue organization, will have a number of cats and dogs available to responsible adoptive homes during regular business hours at Petland. Art Bras exhibit at mall

BOARDMAN — Local artists are being asked to form their own inspired art bras for an exhibit on Oct. 4 at Southern Park Mall. The event is designed as a fun way to create an awareness of breast education and breast cancer.

Kiwanis Club to host bingo, picnic at farm

NORTH JACKSON — The Bruss Farm, 14319 Gladstone Road, will be the setting at 1 p.m. Sept. 20 for a cow patty bingo picnic sponsored by Western Mahoning County Kiwanis Club of Girard.iser.

Tickets, $25, are available from any club member or by calling (330) 502-1460. Proceeds will support the group’s scholarship fund.

Each year the Kiwanis club gives a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving graduating student from Jackson Milton High School, Canfield High School, and the Mahoning County Career and Tech Center.

Barbara Smith, president-elect, was a voting delegate at the 92nd annual Ohio District convention in Dayton. She presided at the annual meeting of Ohio District Kiwanis Foundation, was elected to the Ohio Kiwanis District finance and structure committee, and was appointed as district chair of Young Children Priority One.
