North Lima Calvary UMC has new pastor


NORTH LIMA — Renae Meggitt is the new pastor at North Lima Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave.

She began her duties this summer.

Pastor Meggitt, who was born in Beckley, W.Va., earned an associate degree in accounting from Terra Community College and a bachelor’s degree from Tiffin University. She was licensed as a pastor in 1998. Pastor Meggitt attended Ashland Seminary then Methodist Theological School of Ohio in Delaware, where she received her master of divinity degree in 2009.

She was a part-time pastor serving Sciota/Harmony UMC, Mansfield District, and from 2002 to 2009 was pastor of North Robinson/Leesville UMC, Mid-Ohio District.

Pastor Meggitt is a member of Protestant Committee for Boy Scouts and is the recipient of the Silver Beaver Award in Scouting, the highest honor for volunteers. She also served as an on-call chaplain at Med-Central Hospital.
