First Baptist Church welcomes a new pastor

HUBBARD — First Baptist Church of Hubbard, 59 Orchard, has welcomed the Rev. Luke D. Oskin as its pastor.

Pastor Luke was born and raised in Linesville, Pa., and graduated from French Creek Valley Christian School and Linesville High School. He attended Pennsylvania State University and earned a bachelor’s degree in business. He attended Ashland Theological Seminary, where he earned a master’s of divinity in pastoral ministry.

Pastor Luke met his fianc , the Rev. Katie A. Dillon, while both were attending classes at Ashland. She also earned a master’s of divinity in pastoral ministry.

Both went through the ordination process of the American Baptist Churches. They will be married in October by their mentor and pastor, the Rev. Gordon Thomas.
