Pa. budget deal near

HARRISBURG (AP) — Legislative leaders said Thursday they were on the brink of a spending deal that would end Pennsylvania’s distinction as the only state still fighting over its annual budget.

Lawmakers planned a news conference today to disclose details of the emerging plan.

Pennsylvania is the only state that has been without a comprehensive budget in place since the fiscal year began July 1.
