GM marketing campaign to allow return of vehicle
DETROIT — General Motors Co. says it will allow new-car buyers to return their vehicles within 2 months of purchasing them for a full refund if they’re not satisfied.
The program is part of a sweeping, new marketing campaign, called “May the Best Car Win.”
GM will allow customers who purchase a new vehicle between next Monday and Nov. 30 to return it for a refund within 31 to 60 days from the date of purchase.
Landmark restaurant files Chapter 11 bankruptcy
NEW YORK — Tavern on the Green, the landmark restaurant in New York City’s Central Park, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
Tavern Chief Executive Jennifer Oz LeRoy blames the filing on the financial crisis and New York City’s decision to give the Tavern license to a new operator. The new license was granted to Dean J. Poll, who runs the Central Park Boathouse restaurant.
Honda chooses Ohio plant
EAST LIBERTY, Ohio — The Honda Motor Co. says a plant in western Ohio will be the production site for the automaker’s new crossover utility vehicle.
Honda of America President Hidenobu Iwata said Thursday that the Honda Accord Crosstour will be built at the East Liberty plant that now produces the CR-V and the Element. The Crosstour is a tallish, five-passenger wagonlike SUV based on a midsize sedan.
