Taylor Swift is giving fans some new music, even though she’s not yet releasing a new album.
The 19-year-old country and pop sensation is re-releasing her top-selling CD “Fearless” Oct. 27 with six new songs. She also will include a DVD of photos, tour footage and her videos, including her comedic clip with T-Pain from the CMT Awards earlier this year.
“Fearless” has sold almost 4 million copies since it was released last November. It was named album of the year by the Academy of Country Music.
On Wednesday, Swift was nominated for four Country Music Association Awards, including entertainer of the year. She’s also up for an MTV Video Music Award on Sunday.
The CD/DVD of “Fearless Platinum Edition” will be released Oct. 27.
‘metal show’ returns

The show returns for a third round with more exclusive interviews and behind the scene footage from the top metal festivals of the year. The season kicks off on VH1 Classic on Oct. 3 first with the acclaimed documentary, “Anvil! The Story of Anvil” at 9 p.m. and then the Canadian heavy metal band gives an exclusive interview and performance for the one-hour season premiere with “That Metal Show: Anvil Special” at 11 p.m.
Other guests scheduled this season include: Ratt, Alica Cooper, Sebastian Bach, Blackie Lawless, Chickenfoot, WWE’s Chris Jericho, Judas Priest’s Rob Halford, Steve Vai, Slayer and many more.

keep it simple
For those who have grown up in the land of text messaging and abbreviated words, summing up your life in six words may not be a difficult task. But before you try your hand at it, check out “I Can’t Keep My Own Secrets,” by “teens famous and obscure” ($8.99, HarperTeen).
The idea is pretty self-explanatory: for teens, ages 13 to 19, to tell a story, a memoir of sorts, in just six words. The results are poignant and personal. Some entries read:
• “Seventeen. Pregnant. He’s off to Iraq.”
• “According to Facebook, we broke up.”
• “The exits were entrances in disguise.”
it’s all in the game
Amusing factoids:
Spacewar, the first fully interactive video game, was created in 1962.
Asteroids, introduced in 1980, was the first video game to allow high scorers to enter their initials.
If you roll two dice, as in the board game Monopoly, they will total the number seven almost 17 percent of the time. They will total 12 only about 3 percent of the time.
