Ohio man convicted for 29 charges in child-sex case

MARIETTA, Ohio (AP) — A jury has found a southeast Ohio man guilty of 29 charges, including rape, linked to computer images involving young boys.

Daniel A. Keck II, 43, of Marietta, was accused in January of sexually abusing five boys.

He was found guilty today of three rape counts, five counts of gross sexual imposition and two kidnapping counts. He also was convicted on charges of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance, and pandering sexually oriented material and obscenity involving a minor.

The Washington County Common Pleas jury acquitted him on six additional charges.

Atty. Rolf Baumgartel says he has not had a chance to speak with Keck, but expects he will appeal.
