Accident on I-80 in Hubbard slows traffic; find a detour route

HUBBARD — Traffic is down to two lanes on eastbound Interstate 80 tonight after a 200,000-pound load came loose from a truck, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Patrol units are on scene to direct traffic and begin cleanup, but a dispatcher said the two lanes would persist until at least 8 p.m. The dispatcher advised finding an alternative route.

Ohio Department of Transportation responders are en route to the scene to post traffic signs and diagnose a seven-foot long gash in the highway.
