YOUNGSTOWN — The marriage of Renee Ditata and Larry Spala was solemnized by the Rev. Monsignor Michael Cariglio on July 17 during a ceremony at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

The couple received congratulations at a reception at Johnny’s Banquet Center in Boardman.

After a wedding trip to New York, the Hamptons, Kennebunkport and upper Maine, they reside in Boardman and in Scottsdale, Ariz.

The bride is a daughter of the late Antonette and Dominic Ditata, who had lived in Boardman, and the groom is a son of Mary Spala of Warren and the late Frank Spala.

The bride was given in marriage by her aunt and godmother, Elizabeth Febo.

Serving as honor attendant was Patty Daniels, and performing the duties of best man was Dave Spala, a brother of the groom.

Mrs. Spala is employed by Arizona Biltmore Resort and Spa in Phoenix.

Mr. Spala, the former owner of Spala Trucking Inc., retired from Allied Auto Group Carhaulers and as chief teamster representative of Tampa.
