REUNIONS | Former classmates plan to meet

• The East High School Class of 1954 will meet for lunch at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Johnny’s Restaurant on Market Street. Final plans for the reunion will be made at the meeting.

• North High School Class of 1957 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Bedford Trails for a reunion featuring a choice of breakfast or lunch.

• Poland High School Class of 1969 is planning a reunion for Nov. 27. Anyone who would like more information or who would like to be involved in planning is urged to contact Dave Watts at misty50@zoominternet.net or (330) 757-0102.

• South High Alumni Association will meet at noon Sept 16 at Denny’s on Boardman-Canfield Road. Anyone not contacted by the telephone committee should call Marge Drohn at (330) 788-9431. All alumni are welcome.

• Youngstown Hospital Association School of Nursing will have its annual alumni luncheon Oct. 3 at Tippecanoe Country Club. Registration will be at 11 a.m., and lunch will be served at noon. The class of 1959 will be honored. Reservations will be accepted until Sept. 23 by Shirley Howells Stephens at (330) 652-9632 or Dorothy Booth Velker at (330) 629-8405.
