GARDEN CLUBS | This week's meetings announced


MONDAY

• Transplants will have a program on a beaded Christmas tree banner at 7:30 p.m. with Lorraine Milanek as instructor. Hostess will be Shirley Seddler, 3348 N. Wendover Circle, Youngstown, and the co-hostess will be Rita Roberts. Material needed will be tape, ruler, scissors, five 4- ounce and one 16-ounce container with lids. The cost is $15. Irma Dombrowski will conduct the raffle.

TUESDAY

• Moccasin will meet at 6 p.m. at Dahlia’s to form a carpool for a visit to Fellows Riverside Gardens and dinner on the way home.

• New Bedford will meet at 7 p.m. with Shirley Snyder as hostess. The program will be a fall craft.

THURSDAY

• Nature Lovers will meet at 2 p.m. to view the fairy gardens of Karen Lucas, 50235 Pancake Clarkson Road, Negley. Members will carpool from the Davis Center.

SATURDAY

• Garden Forum will host a garden and horticulture show Saturday and Sept. 13 at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park. Entry time is 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Viewing will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

• Daisy Dozen Garden Club will meet at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 23 at Jan’s Finds and Designs, 212 Church Hill-Hubbard Road. An auctioneer will answer questions. Lunch will be at Vernons. Reservations are required by Sept. 16 with Kathy Battisti, (330) 759-3266 or Loretta Morgione, (330) 759-9737.
