Isabella 50th celebrated on railroad tour
Mr. and Mrs. John Isabella
POLAND — The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. John Isabella, 7285 Elmland Drive, was celebrated on Aug. 22. Included in the day’s activities were a chauffeured limousine ride to a dinner at the Spaghetti Warehouse and a murder mystery tour aboard the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad in Akron.
The celebration continued with a family gathering on Sept. 5 at their home.
Hosts for the festivities were their children and their spouses, Therese and George Beatty of Boardman, Angela Isabella and Darius Markham of Irwin, Pa., and John III and Debra Isabella of Struthers. There are five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren in the family.
Mrs. Isabella retired in 1989 from Little Forest Nursing Home in Boardman, where she was a nurse’s aide.
Mr. Isabella served four years with the U.S. Air Force and was a window clerk with the U.S. Postal Service prior to retiring in 1991.
St. Lucy Church in Campbell was the setting on Sept. 5, 1959, as Mr. Isabella and the former Gloria Jean Pasquale were united in marriage. They are members of St. Cyril and Methodius Church.
