Summer reading program turns up winners
NEWTON FALLS — During the summer reading program, adult patrons submitted reviews for the books they read. Weekly prizes were given to the winning drawn entry.
At the end of the program, the library awarded special prizes to the grand prize winner, Virginia White, and the winner of the best review, Pamela Hovey.
Prizes were also given to children in grades K-3 and 4-6, teens and participants n the Preschool Read to Me program.
Divorce Recovery program set for Warren Church
WARREN — Divorce Recovery Workshop is scheduled for eight consecutive Monday nights from Sept. 21 thorough Nov. 9 at North Mar Church in Warren. Everyone is welcome regardless of religious faith or church affiliation. It is beneficial to everyone who is divorced or separated.
The workshop includes discussions of legal and financial issues of divorce and tips on how to manage your money.
The workshop runs from 7-9 p.m. The registration fee is $30 when paid by Sept. 14 and it includes the study guide “Growing Through Divorce.”

COLUMBIANA — Heartland Christian School, 28 Pittsburgh St., is inviting vendors to participate in the 2nd annual Fall in the Heartland and craft fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 3.

Grief workshops offered by agency
WARREN — Catholic Charities Regional Agency will present three “How to Help Yourself Through Grief” workshops at the office on the third floor at 175 Laird Ave. NE.
Support workers will be at the sessions, which are open and free to the public.
The series includes “The Grief Process and the Grief Journey” on Sept. 14 ; “Losses and Complications of Grief” on Sept. 21; and “What Else Do I Need to Know” on Sept. 28.

St. Patrick’s will host First Night fundraiser
YOUNGSTOWN — St. Patrick Church in Youngstown is the site for a fundraising event for First Night Youngstown, a family-friendly, alcohol-free New Year’s Eve celebration of the arts featuring entertainment and activities for all ages.
A spaghetti dinner is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 20 in the church social hall. Tickets are $6.50 for adults and $3.50 for children age 8 and under. Carryouts are available. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling First Night Youngstown at (330) 744-9966, or purchased at the door.
