Festival queen contest

LISBON — Young women between 15 and 20 are invited to compete for the title of Johnny Appleseed Festival Queen and to represent the community at the annual festival Sept. 19 and 20.

Applications are available at Lisbon Chamber of Commerce and must be submitted by Wednesday.

Judging will begin at 3 p.m. Sept. 13 and the winner will receive prizes provided by local merchants and individuals. She and her court will also travel by limousine to East Liverpool Motor Lodge for a pre-festival dinner.
