“25th annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.” Easy Street Productions, 865 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown. Must be 12 or older and available for all rehearsals beginning in November. Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra. Tri-C Metropolitan Campus Auditorium, downtown Cleveland. Auditions are ongoing for section strings (violin, viola, cello and bass), substitute brass and percussion for the 2009-10 season. Rehearsals are 7:30-10 p.m. Thursdays.
