Rich Center has discount tickets

YOUNGSTOWN — Fans of the Youngstown State Penguins will be helping children at the Rich Center for Autism when they take advantage of a ticket fundraiser starting this month.

The Rich Center is selling ticket vouchers to YSU home football games for $10 a piece; that is a discount of $6 off the regular price.

A portion of that $10 will directly benefit the Rich Center for Autism at YSU.

Rich Center teachers Scot McClelland and Dan Bondi developed the fundraiser with the help of the YSU athletics department as a way to raise money for new gym equipment at the center.

“Dan and I have seen the therapeutic benefits of using this type of equipment in the classroom,” said McClelland. “It helps the students to build muscular strength and endurance, and to develop balance and coordination.”

A limited number of vouchers are available. They can be purchased at the Rich Center for Autism, located in Fedor Hall through Sept. 30, between the hours of 9 a.m. and noon. Cash and checks are accepted. For more information, call (330) 941-2047.
