Liberty boys soccer shuts out Hubbard
LIBERTY — Eric Wolf and Tom Stark scored goals as Liberty defeated Hubbard, 2-0, in a boys soccer game on Tuesday.
Goalkeeper Ryan Halicki saved five shots.
For Hubbard, Steve Roose saved four shots.
Poland 12, Columbiana 0
POLAND — Taylor Malaniak scored three goals while Matt Mrozek and Rami Chammas had two each. Also netting goals were Spencer Booth, Ryan Storkel, Charles Lamping, Jack Watson and Fadi Chammas.
Goalkeepers Cooper Kostelic, Adam Robertson and Alex Magni combined for five saves.
Clippers goalkeeper Alex Bable made 15 saves.
West Branch 2, Marlington 2
BELOIT — Tyler Strawser scored with two minutes left in the game as West Branch rallied to tie Marlington. Austen Rekolt also scored for the Warriors.
Shane Kaplan and Cameron Binkley had the two goals for Marlington.
West Branch assists were by Cody Criss and Jake Mellinger. Matt Latlam had 11 saves for the Warriors. JVs: Marlington 5-0.
Girls
YOUNGSTOWN — Audrey Smith had four goals, Paige Baker two and Shelby Lazar one for Canfield (1-0-1) in a 7-0 win over Ursuline at Wick Recreation Area.
Baker also had two assists, while Jenne Battaglia and Michelle Gettemy had an assist apiece.
Ursuline goalie Briana Curd had 17 saves.
Newton Falls 1, Harding 1
WARREN — Angela Giuliano scored the game’s only goal off an assist by Abby Harrah. Rebecca Humberger had 18 saves in goal for the Tigers. Harding’s Cierra Sparks had eight saves.
Lakeview 7, Hubbard 1
CORTLAND — Lindsey Clark and Ali Gagne each scored two goals to lead the Bulldogs (3-0-0). Also scoring were Nicole Moldovan, Jen Ulam and Kaitlyn Tonkovich.
Assisting on goals were Marissa Defrancesco, Justine Defrancesco and Laura Griffith.
Moldovan made four saves and Casey Boldt one.
For Hubbard, Mariah Gordon made 14 saves and Courtney Sargent 11. JVs: Hubbard, 2-0.

LEAVITTSBURG — Katelyn Downey, Gabby Borawiec and Kriscinda Frazier scored for the Vikings (3-0). Goalkeeper Kelsie Daniel made eight saves.
For the Wildcats (0-2), Miranda Serich netted the goal and Kayla Kusky made 12 saves.
Warren JFK 12, Maplewood 0
WARREN — Kelli Guanieri scored four goals and Erin McBride two for the Eagles (3-0-0). Also tallying goals were Jerrica Cooper, Adrian Ashdown, Madison Laukhart, Lauren Rodomsky, Sammie Jo Marzullo and Laurel Wilson.
McBride made three assists while Cooper, Ashdown, Laukhart, Marzullo and Megan Lieber had one apiece.
Warren JFK goalkeepers Helena Democopoulas and Kelsey Casey combined for three saves.
For the Rockets (0-3-0), Valerie Blank made 10 saves.
