Jimbo has yet to depart federal facility

As of 6:15 a.m. CST, Jim Traficant remained in the Federal Medical Center in Minnesota, where he spent most of his prison term.

He has been free to leave since 12:01 a.m. Despite some expectation that Traficant would leave the facility before dawn, he has yet to depart as the sun has begun to rise. Media members including Michelle Nicks of WFMJ-TV and a team of reporters from The Associated Press have been outside of the facility awaiting word of the former congressman's release since Tuesday.
