LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Michelle Duggar, the 42-year-old Arkansas mom of 18 and a soon-to-be grandmother, is pregnant again.

Duggar said Tuesday that she took a pregnancy test on a whim and was shocked to see she was pregnant.

Meanwhile, she is gearing up to become a grandmother for the first time. Her oldest son, Josh, and his wife, Anna, are expecting their first child next month.

Michelle Duggar and her husband, Jim Bob, live in Tontitown, Ark. They are featured with their family on TLC’s “18 Kids and Counting.”

Michelle Duggar says she’s nearly 12 weeks along and due March 18.

Oprah to kick off season

CHICAGO — Oprah Winfrey is bringing her show to the streets.

A Harpo Productions spokeswoman said Tuesday that Winfrey is celebrating the kickoff of the 24th season of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” by taping the show on part of Chicago’s Michigan Avenue.

Part of the street, which is known as the Magnificent Mile, will be shut down from early Monday until early next Wednesday. The taping is Tuesday Admission is free and open to the public.

The show will air late next week.

Jay-Z remembers DJ AM

NEW YORK — After DJ AM survived a plane crash last year that killed four people, the last thing Jay-Z had in mind was having the disc jockey play at his concert.

But the rapper says he spoke to DJ AM a day after last September’s plane crash in Columbia, S.C., and he asked Jay-Z not to count him out of appearing at the show.

DJ AM, whose real name was Adam Goldstein, attended Jay-Z’s concert Oct. 15, 2008, which reopened the historic Hollywood Palladium.

Goldstein was found dead Friday.
