2 Trumbull County men indicted

STAFF REPORT

WARREN — Richard L. Grossman, 47, of East Kline Street, Girard, has been indicted on a charge of aggravated burglary and two counts of felonious assault after police said he trespassed into a house on East Main Street and assaulted a 13-year-old boy and a 41-year-old man with a baseball bat.

Girard police said Grossman attacked the two just before midnight July 8. Police said Grossman’s son and the 13-year-old had been in a fight earlier.

Grossman kicked in the door of the house, assaulted the two and left, a police report said. Grossman was arrested later. The 13-year-old boy was treated at the hospital for his injuries.

If convicted, Grossman could get up to 26 years in prison.

A county grand jury also indicted Edward P. Donley, 21, of School Street N.W., on a charge of aggravated burglary and two counts of rape.

Niles police said Donley broke into an apartment on Royal Mall Drive in Niles and raped a 20-year-old woman there during the night of June 20 and 21.

The woman was impaired by an intoxicating substance at the time, she told police.

If convicted, Donley could get up to 30 years in prison.
