Golf outing proceeds support diabetes research

BOARDMAN — The American Diabetes Association Golf Outing sponsored by Ankle and Food Care Centers in August at Pine Lakes Golf Course in Hubbard raised $13,200 to support diabetes research. The funds were raised through entry fees from the 128 golfers and from the 64 corporate and hole sponsors.

The tournament was the 11th annual event to be sponsored by the centers, altogether raising more than $79,000 for research.
