Salem Halloween parade is Thursday


SALEM — Salem’s Halloween parade sponsored by the Sons of Amvets Post 45 begins at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Parade participants can begin to line up at 5:30 p.m. at city hall.

The police-led parade will go north on Broadway and end on Lincoln Avenue at the nearby Kent State Salem City Center, where there will be a party.

The Post 45 Drill Team/Color Guard will take part along with the Salem High School Band.

Costumes will be judged, and there will be a $50 prize awarded for the best costume.
