Two men rob McQuaid’s in Niles

NILES — Police are investigating an armed robbery that involved two men wearing black Halloween-type masks at the McQuaid’s gas station, 501 state Route 46 at 12:47 a.m. today.

One of the men was also wearing a black and white bandana over his head, and both were wearing dark clothing, said Capt. Chuck Wilson of the Niles Police Department.

The men, one of whom was carrying a handgun, took an undetermined amount of money from the store’s register and fled, apparently on foot, Wilson said.
