Rotary Club honors longtime member

COLUMBIANA — The Rotary Club of Columbiana visited Parkside Nursing Home, where it presented a newly designed wooden name tag and an engraved plaque to Charlie Harper in recognition of his 60 years as a member.

Harper has served in almost every position in the club and was the guiding spark for the annual Foster Children’s Picnic and the Columbiana Street Fair Book Sale. As manager of Firestone Farms, he was active in the Columbiana County community.

The club meets at noon each Tuesday at the American Legion Hall. Visitors are welcome. For more information, call (330) 482-3550.
