CANFIELD
Oct. 14
Drug trafficking: Four dollars in cash were seized from the sale of Valium at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road, and an 18-year-old male student was arrested for trafficking in drugs and drug abuse. Police found three Valium pills on him. Also, a 17-year-old Youngstown male was arrested for drug abuse when two Valium were found on him; a 17-year-old Youngstown male was charged with drug abuse when police found marijuana on him; and a 16-year-old Youngstown female was arrested for drug abuse and possession of drugs and consumption of pills.
Oct. 15
Illegal weapon, obstructing: An 18-year-old Youngstown male juvenile was arrested for illegal conveyance of a weapon, a handgun, and a 16-year-old North Lima male was charged with obstructing official business after the pair of nonstudents tried to start a fight at Canfield High School. They left by vehicle, but were apprehended by police. The Youngstown male showed officers where he had thrown the gun into a wooded area in Beaver Township and police recovered the weapon.
Oct. 16
Identity fraud: A Oakdale, Pa., man reported that his credit/debit card had been used for fraudulent charges after it was stolen.
Contraband seized: Police took 129 Suboxone pills from a 41-year-old Warren man on Millbrook Street. The pills, which are used to assist with drug withdrawal, had been prescribed to another man.
Oct. 17
Drug abuse: Two men were arrested on drug and weapons charges on Fairground Boulevard. A 19-year-old New Castle, Pa., man was arrested on charges of drug abuse and carrying a concealed weapon. Police found two grams of marijuana, one gram of crack cocaine and .45-caliber gun. A 22-year-old Detroit man was also arrested for drug abuse, carrying a concealed weapon and receiving stolen property, after police found seven grams of crack cocaine and a 9mm handgun.
Oct. 19
Aggravated burglary: A home in the 30 block of Hood Drive was broken into and stolen were: an Apple iPod, a charger, a black purse, wallet and credit/debit card, three thin gold chains and two garnet pendants.
Vehicle break-in: A vehicle in the 30 block of Hood Drive was broken into. Among items taken were a black carbine scope stored in a long gun case and a phone charger.
Oct. 20
Theft: An unlocked 1996 Honda was broken into in the 200 block of Indian Lake Boulevard and stolen were credit cards, two prescriptions and personal information.
Vehicle break-in: A vehicle was broken into in the 30 block of Fairview Avenue and stolen were assorted compact discs and a cell phone.
Theft: A 1999 Dodge Caravan was broken into in the 3000 block of Fairview Avenue and stolen was loose change.
Break-in: A vehicle was broken into in the 40 block of Hood Drive, but nothing was reported missing.
Identity fraud: A resident of the 30 block of Hood Drive reported a credit card had fraudulent charges made on it.
Theft: An Apple iPod and a Garmin GPS unit were stolen from a vehicle in the 300 block of Hood Drive.
Theft: A debit card, a wrist purse and a checkbook were stolen from a vehicle in the 60 block of Indian Lake Boulevard.
Theft: A woman’s bag of clothing was stolen from a vehicle at Amron Lanes, 492 W. Main Street. The bag was later recovered but the contents were missing.
Oct. 21
Drug paraphernalia: Police arrested a 21-year-old Salem man for possession of a wooden pipe at the entrance ramp to Route 11.
Theft: A contractor at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center reported a drill was stolen from the construction site at the school. The Geller Warden Electric, Inc., Canfield representative said the drill was located by Poland Township police.
Attempted theft: The owner of a vehicle in the 90 block of Indian Lake Boulevard reported that someone had gone through their car, but nothing was taken.

Oct. 19
Auto theft: A 1997 Pontiac Grand Am was stolen at Uni-Mart, 3602 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal damaging: A window was broken at a home in the 1000 block of Ohltown Road.
Theft: An employee was arrested for theft at Marc’s, 4755 Mahoning Ave.
Lost or stolen wallet: A men’s wallet was reported lost or stolen at a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.
Breaking and entering: Assault rifles and long rifles were taken from an attached garage at a home in the 100 block of South Edgehill Avenue.
Passing bad check: A man is a suspect in passing a bad check at the Shell gas station, 1704 S. Raccoon Road.
Theft: Food was ordered and not paid for at Belleria Pizza, 3460 S. Meridian Road.
Frauds: Fraudulent withdrawals were made on an account at a home in the 30 block of South Navarre Ave.
Dumping complaint: Tires were thrown in a trash bin at a home in the 30 block of South Main Street.

Drug offense: A Youngstown woman was arrested for possession of marijuana at Mahoning Avenue and Raccoon Road.
Theft: A wallet was stolen from an auto in the 1000 block of Fountain Square apartments.
Telecommunications harassment: Unwanted phone calls and text messages were received at an apartment in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.
Criminal damaging: Four tires were damaged on a vehicle at an apartment in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.
Menacing by stalking: A man is a suspect in a case of stalking at a home in the 4000 block of New Road. The woman at the address said the man has called her numerous times on her cell phone, drive or walks by her home and has left numerous notes on her car.
Recovered property: A 1994 Oldsmobile reported stolen by Warren police was recovered in the rear lot at 33 N. Wickliffe Circle.
Auto theft: A 1995 Oldsmobile Cierra was stolen at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was dented and decorative lights were stolen at a home in the 2000 block of Oaktrace Drive.
Auto theft: A 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle was stolen at Rumors Lounge, 104 N. Meridian Road.

Theft: A GPS, coins and a gift card were taken from an auto at a home in the 1000 block of Eastwind Place.
Telephone harassment: A woman is a victim of telephone harassment at an apartment in the 900 block of Compass West apartments.
Theft: A cell phone was stolen from an auto at a home in the 5000 block of Tulane Avenue.
Theft: A GPS and compact disc were stolen from an auto in the 5000 block of Tulane Avenue.
Theft: A scanner and compact discs were stolen from a vehicle at a home in the 5000 block of Tulane Avenue.

Fraud: Unauthorized purchases were reported at a home in the 5000 block of Norquest Boulevard.
Breaking and entering: A metal donation box was damaged and the chapel was entered at the 911 Memorial, 1055 S. Raccoon Road.
Drug offense: Marijuana plants were found on a property in the 3000 block of Allendale Avenue. Charges are pending against the male resident of the house.
Theft: A purse was snatched from a female by a teenage male on a bicycle at Westgate Plaza, 4401 Mahoning Ave.
Aggravated menacing: A female victim was threatened by a 35-year-old male at a home in the 5000 block of Kirk Road.
Barking dog: A woman was issued a summons for a barking dog at a home in the 300 block of Forest Hill Drive.
Oct. 23
Fraud: Three fraudulent charges were made on a Visa card at a home in the 3000 block of Avalon Court.
Burglary: Guns and money were stolen from a home in the 100 block of Wilcox Road.
Felonious assault: A man was arrested for felonious assault at a home in the 80 block of Evans Avenue.
Theft: A victim was coerced into giving a suspect her account number at a home in the 100 block of North Kimberly Avenue.
Telecommunications harassment: Unwanted texts were received at the VFW Post 4237, 4150 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A man reported that pills were taken in the 1000 block of Idaho Road.
Theft: A man was issued a summons for shoplifting at Wal-Mart.
Oct. 24
Theft: Money was taken from a checking account at Home Savings and Loan, 6030 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle had paint damage in the parking lot at Phoenix House, 850 N. Meridian Road.
Theft: A man was issued a summons for theft at Dollar General, 1739 S. Raccoon Road.
Drug offense: An Austintown man was issued a summons for possession of marijuana at New Road and South Raccoon Road.
Drug offense: A Youngstown man was issued a summons for possession of marijuana at Mahoning Avenue and South Raccoon Road.
Counterfeit currency: $20 in counterfeit currency was passed at Dollar General, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Drug offense: A Boardman man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at Mahoning Avenue and Meridian Road.
Criminal damaging: A window was damaged in the 5000 block of Mahoning Avenue.
Criminal damaging: Garages were spray-painted at a home in the 3000 block of Elmwood Avenue.
Theft: Food items and beer were stolen at Save-A-Lot, 1715 S. Raccoon Road.
Theft: A wallet and contents were stolen at Austintown Fitch High School, 4560 Falcon Drive.
Theft: Cash, a wallet and an Ohio license were stolen from an auto at Austintown Fitch High School.
